About this page

Magic Cactus Supply Co. is not a real shop.

It is a demonstration of an order desk built for one small business with one awkward problem: live plants in one box, dry goods in another, and a shelf that has to stay stocked while the board fills itself.

Orders land every minute until five are waiting. Each one is packed into two boxes, invoiced, paid, labelled and tracked, and every step moves the same numbers: shelf counts, receipts, the day's takings and the leaderboard. Cold cities get a heat pack warning before a label exists, because a cactus in a freezing truck is a refund in three days.

Every product, price, order and customer here is invented. The arithmetic is not. Stock, invoice totals, margins and the takings line are calculated from the state of the board as you click.
