Nobody reads this part
Two minutes well spent
Board grade decides everything about a box, and it is printed on the flap in a font nobody has ever read. Here is the whole of it in two minutes, so you buy the right grade once.
32 ECT board takes about 32 pounds per inch of edge before it crushes. A 16 × 12 × 12 has 56 inches of edge, so on paper it holds a small car. Reality has other plans, and reality is a humid week in July, a pallet stacked in a hurry, or one afternoon in a truck parked on Del Paso.
Double wall adds a second flute. That is the only difference, it is why the Mover costs a dollar sixty five more, and it is why nothing inside it ever hears about your move.
The one rule worth remembering
Buy the grade above what you think you need if the box will sit in a garage, a shed or a shipping container. The box is the cheapest part of that sentence.
| Board | Holds, honestly | For |
|---|---|---|
| 32 ECT single | Two boxes high, in a dry room | Documents, clothes, light retail |
| 48 ECT double | Nine high, and it stops asking | Moves, tools, anything stacked in a truck |
| 200 lb test | Freight, dock to dock, banded | Pallets, and everything under them |
ECT means edge crush test: pounds per inch of edge before the board folds. The 200 lb test is a burst test, an older ruler measuring the same job a different way.

What people say at the counter
Four of a great many
"We ship sixty orders a week and I have not thought about boxes since March. That is the entire review."
"They talked me out of the double wall. Me. I walked in ready to spend money."
"The 3pm cutoff is real. I tested it on a Friday, rudely, at 2:58, and it beat me to Carmichael anyway."
"I asked what the 'and More' meant. The answer is more boxes. I respect a shop that commits."

About this page
It is a demonstration built to show what a small storefront looks like when the logistics behind it are real: live cutoffs, dimensional weight, delivery zones, a cart that knows the difference between a mailer and a pallet. Every product, price and quotation on this page is invented. The arithmetic is not.
Built by Canterlotus, a digital consultancy in Sacramento. Sites, order flow, inventory and the boring machinery underneath, for businesses that would rather own their tools than rent them.
